4GV / Variation 2 Packaging

4GV / Variation 2 Packaging Systems allow for the shipment of articles or inner packagings (inner containers) of any type, whether solids or liquids. These Packagings are tested and manufactured in accordance with 178.601(g)(2).  This exception from the normal testing requirements is useful when a shipping situation requires the use of multiple primary containers, shipped in common configurations, and when the number of containers to be shipped is few enough to make a certification test impracticable.
